Paris

Then and now: Paris, "the city of lights" and its best known symbol, le tour Eiffel. It was built between 1887 - 1889 and it was supposed to be allowed to exist only 20 years, after which time it had to be demolished...

Kiev

Then and now: Kiev is considered the mother of all the Russian cities, although the metropolis is now the capital of Ukraine. The orthodox monasteries and churches, the legendary 1.2 km Khreshchatyk Avenue, the Independence Square and the huge green parks stand as the city's symbols. The Kiev River Port is located on the right bank of the Dnieper River in Podil, being an iresistible atraction for every traveler...

Istanbul

Then and now: the old city of Constantinople is the modern Istanbul, one of the most legendary cities throughout the whole human history. It's a city full of legends and mistery, of ancient fortresses and modern buildings. Hagia Sophia is one of the many symbols of this dreamy metropolis.

Bucharest

Then and now: Bucharest has always been known as "the little Paris"; it used to be a city full of parks and art noveau buildings. The "Carol Park" was inaugurated in 1906 as a huge French garden, capable of hosting various exhibitions. Despite its modifications during the communist regime, the park kept its charm and has officially been listed as a historical monument since 2004. It's a must see for every traveler.

Odessa
