Then and now: Bucharest has always been known as "the little Paris"; it used to be a city full of parks and art noveau buildings. The "Carol Park" was inaugurated in 1906 as a huge French garden, capable of hosting various exhibitions. Despite its modifications during the communist regime, the park kept its charm and has officially been listed as a historical monument since 2004. It's a must see for every traveler.
